| Love African lit? #ReadingAfrica Week starts on
            Sunday! If you’re
not familiar with us already, I'd like to introduce you to Catalyst
Press, an indie publisher of African writers and African stories
headquartered in Cape Town and the USA. This year, we're proud to
host our fifth annual #ReadingAfrica Week celebration, and
we'd love for you to join us.  Starting
this Sunday 5 December, and going all week long, we're inviting
publishers, authors, educators, librarians, readers, and
book-lovers of all kinds to use the hashtags #ReadingAfrica #FundaNathi
and #OokinAfrikaans across social media to highlight
posts that celebrate African literature. Whether it's a new
release or an old favourite, from sci-fi to poetry, this is an
opportunity to share your top reading picks from across the
            continent.  This year,
to celebrate five years of #ReadingAfrica, we're hosting three
virtual panels you can join: Next Monday 6 December at 19:30 SAST, it's all about
comics. KaDi Yao Tay, founder and editor of Squid Magazine,
moderates a conversation on graphic novels and comics with Bill
            Masuku (author/illustrator, Captain
South Africa), Ivanka Hahnenberger (translator Madame Livingstone),
            Richard Conyngham (author, All
Rise: Resistance and Rebellion in South Africa), and Salim
Busuru (Creative Director of Avandu Studio)
 Wednesday 8
December at 19:30 SAST, join us for a discussion on children's
literature moderated by Atlas Book Club founder,
